Reminders and consent
A reminder is one email to someone who started your form and didn't finish, in your words. One, then nothing more. Reminders are part of Pro; seeing who didn't finish, and emailing them yourself, is free.
Who can get one
- Quote forms: people who gave their email through the estimate's "Email me this estimate", after seeing the line that says a reminder may follow. Where the law asks for a tick (the EU, the UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, or when you set the form to ask first), only people who ticked the box. An address typed into an ordinary email question doesn't count.
- RSVP and signup forms: guests you added with personal links.
- Every other form: nobody. You still see who didn't finish, with their email if they gave one.
What people see first
Before anyone types an email, the estimate block says, under the button: "We'll email your estimate now and one reminder in a few days unless you book or tell us not to. Unsubscribe any time." Where a tick is needed, the same words sit beside an unticked box. The top of the form also says "If you don't finish, we may send one reminder." on any form that can send one.
What it says
On the Reminders page you write the subject and the email. Fill-ins put in each person's own details: {amount}, {what they priced}, {when}, {your name}, {organizer} and {form name} (an RSVP or signup reminder has no price, so no {amount}). Quote forms pick between two starting points:
- "Their estimate, in case they want it": subject "Your estimate, in case you want it".
- "Did you go another way?", for people who may have chosen someone else.
Every reminder ends with their link to pick up where they left off, your first name, your mailing address, and Unsubscribe and Delete my data links. It comes from "{your first name} at {your business} via Wunderly", and replies go to you.
When it goes
- On its own: once someone has been gone for 30 minutes, their reminder is set for a number of days later: 2 unless you pick 1 to 7.
- From the leak page: "Send these 9 a reminder" (or "Nudge these 9") sends them the next morning at 9 a.m., in your workspace's time zone. Until then you can edit the wording, or press Undo.
Right before sending, it's checked again: nobody who has since finished, unsubscribed or bounced gets one, and nothing goes while your plan doesn't include reminders.
One, ever
Each person gets at most one reminder per form. The estimate they asked for with "Email me this estimate" is separate: it's sent straight away, on every plan.
Unsubscribing and bounces
Unsubscribe stops every Wunderly email to that address, for every form: "We won't email you again, for any form." Delete my data deletes their answers to that form and stops the emails too. An address that bounces or marks a reminder as spam is never emailed again.
Pro, the trial, and when it ends
On Free, the leak page offers "Try Pro free for 14 days", once per workspace, with no card. When the trial or a plan ends, reminders still waiting are cancelled; nothing else changes. Pressing Send on the leak page again, back on Pro, schedules them anew.
What counts as recovered
Someone is recovered when they got the reminder and then contacted you: they finished the form with their contact details, or finished it again with the same email within 30 days. Opening the email doesn't count (how we count).
