Does Typeform save partial responses?
Last updated October 11, 2026
Yes, on paid plans: Typeform collects partial responses on its Basic plan or higher, at the Partial Submit Points you place in the form1.
Facts checked on October 11, 2026, each against its source. Every number links to where it came from.
How it works
- When someone answers the question just before a Partial Submit Point, their answers up to there are saved as a partial response. If they skip that question, nothing is collected.1
- You can place 1 point on the Basic and Plus plans, and up to 3 on Business and the plans above it. Growth and Enterprise can also capture an answer after every question.1
- Partial responses count toward your monthly response limit.1
On the free plan
You can add a Partial Submit Point to try it, but you have to upgrade or remove it before you can publish the form.1 Basic is $39 a month, or $28 a month billed yearly, with 100 responses a month.3
Can people come back to finish?
On the same browser and device, not in private browsing, for 15 days. Their answers are kept in the browser, and Typeform saves them only when they press Submit, or OK at a Partial Submit Point.2
If you want every answer, on every plan
Wunderly saves every answer as it's typed, with nothing to place in the form, and shows the unfinished ones in your results on the free plan. Forms and responses are unlimited, and nothing is metered.4 People pick up where they left off on the same browser, or on any device from the link in the form's email (how).
